Then ﬁle top of depth gauge with the ﬂat ﬁle until

ﬂat with top of the depth gauge tool.

- Be sure to round off the front edge of the

depth gauge.

Properly ﬁled cutters are shown in illustration.

When setting of the chain is ﬁnished, soak it in oil

and wash away ﬁlings completely before using.

- When chain has been ﬁled on the bar,

supply sufﬁcient oil to it, rotate the chain

slowly to wash away the ﬁlings before using

again.

- If the chain saw is operated with ﬁlings

clogged in the groove, the saw chain and the

guide bar will be damaged prematurely.

- If the saw chain becomes soiled with resin, for

instance, clean it with kerosene and soak in it

oil.

NOTICE

These angles are referred to as Oregon 72LPX.

To sharpen other follow chain manufacturer’s

instruction.

Why does my Echo CS-800P Chainsaw engine crank but not start?

  If your Echo Chainsaw engine cranks but doesn't start, several issues could be at play. There might be no fuel reaching the carburetor, in which case you should clean or replace the necessary parts. Alternatively, the fuel mixture could be too rich; try opening the choke, cleaning or replacing the air filter, or adjusting the carburetor. Another possibility is that there's no spark at the end of the plug wire, ensure the switch is on. Finally, check for spark at the plug; adjust the gap to 0.6 to 0.7 mm, clean or replace the plug.

A dirty air filter, fuel filter, or a blocked fuel vent could be the cause; try cleaning or replacing these components. Also, the spark plug may need cleaning, adjustment, or replacement. The carburetor might need adjustment, or the cooling system or exhaust port/spark arrestor screen might be blocked and in need of cleaning.
