INSTALLATION
FIND A SUITABLE POSITION
Posion the dehumidier in the dampest room or somewhere central like a landing or a hallway. As
long as the internal doors are open, the excess moisture from all of the room in the house will
migrate naturally towards the dehumidier and be processed.
If there is a problemac area or a room with a high humidity level, use a hygrometer to measure the
humidity level (available to purchase at ecoair.org). Place it in that area inially. Once the problem is
seled you may wish to relocate to the locaon above.
Please refer to the important safeguards on the previous pages when posioning the dehumidier,
such as a safe distance away from the wall, avoid conned areas, ensure oor is even and level
surface.
INSTALLING THE DEHUMIDIFIER
Unpack the dehumidier and plug in to the socket.
Ensure there is a minimum distance of 40 cm around the dehumidier.
Check that the dehumidier is level to avoid any water leaks.
Turn on the dehumidier to start dehumidicaon.
ZEOLITE
When you rst use the dehumidier and periodically thereaer you may noce a smell coming from
the dehumidier. This is caused by the Zeolite desiccant material and is NOT a sign that the
dehumidier is faulty, nor is it harmful to humans or pets.
The Zeolite absorbs odours from items such as cigarees, cosmecs, hair sprays, building materials
and new furniture and then when the desiccant is heated the smell is discharged into the room.
(This smell has been described as being like a burning smell or a sour smell). This is normal and will
NOT last long, nor is it a sign of a fault.
INITIAL OPERATION
When you rst use your dehumidier it will work hard to reduce the room humidity to your set
target humidity. This is the me when it will produce most of the water and need emptying more
frequently. As the room become dryer, the dehumidier collects less water. This is normal.
Once the power is restored aer a power failure, the dehumidier will connue to operate at the
selected sengs prior to the power failure.
