8. 7.13 PC 40(Communication error between outdoor main PCB and IPM board diagnosis
and solution)
Description: The main PCB cannot detect the IPM board.
Recommended parts to prepare:
• Connection wires
• IPM board
• Outdoor main PCB
• Electric control box
Troubleshooting and repair:
Is there at least one LED in the
compressor driven chip light?
Check the signal wire between
the Compressor driven chip and
the main board, is it connected
properly?
Replace Compressor driven
Chip. Is the system running
normally?
Replace the electric control box
No

Reconnect and retry. Is the
error still displayed?
No
Yes
Problem is resolved
No
Yes
Replace outdoor main board.
Is the system running
normally?
