INSTALLER AND USER GUIDE FOR REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM ECOSOFT ROBUST 1000, ROBUST 3000
Figure 4. Operang parameters of the system.
* Skip if using a tankless system.
6. OPERATION
1. Use calibrated TDS meter to test total dissolved solids in tap and puried water.
Write down the readings in the maintenance log.
2. Verify proper funconing of feed water solenoid. The system must switch o and stop
discharging concentrate when pressure tank is full* and puried water faucet is closed.
3. Inspect the system carefully for leaks.
4. Advise the system’s owner how to operate and maintain the system, refer to this manual.
5. Make a record of system installaon in the maintenance log.
6*. When using a pressure tank, note that the tank is full when high-pressure switch is
acvated, pump switches o and concentrate stops running to drain. The me to ll the tank
depends on water pressure at the tapping point.
RObust should be used for puricaon of cold water only. If puried water ow rate has decreased
or tank is taking longer than normal to ll, the likelihood is that pre-lter is clogged and need to be
replaced as soon as possible.
Delayed replacement of pre-lters can result in damage or failure of the membranes. In order to
avoid this, it is recommended to replace pre-lters at least once in three months of connuous use.
If puried water ow rate drops signicantly and is not caused by pre-lter wear or abnormal op-
erang condions, the array of membranes has to be replaced. For best puried water quality,
replace membranes at least once a year.
If the system is to be out of operaon for two weeks or longer, sanize the system as described in
secon 7. When disconnuing use of the system, it is recommended to shut o the water supply.
st
If pressure aer pre-lters is less than 1 bar
(14.5 psi), this may indicate low mains pressure or clogged pre-lters. Test pressure at the feed
adapter site. If it exceeds reading on the pressure gauge signicantly, replace pre-lters. Otherwise,
low feed water pressure is at fault and has to be sorted out. If the 1
st
pressure gauge displays over 5 bar
(72.5 psi) aer the system switches on, power down the system immediately, disconnect water sup-
ply, and install a pressure regulator upstream of the system. Then, connue seng up the system.
Maximum recommended feed water pressure is 3.5 bar (51 psi).
14.5 psi 58 psi
72.5 psi 101.5 psi
