6.2. FILTER REPLACEMENT
6.3. MEMBRANE REPLACEMENT
1 Open puried water faucet while the system is plugged in, close feed water valve, close
pressure tank valve (if installed).
2 Wash your hands with anbacterial soap thoroughly.
3 Aer water has stopped running from puried water faucet, unplug the RO system from
the mains and screw o three lter housings. Take care as the bowls will be full of water.
4 Remove spent lters.
5 Wash the bowls thoroughly with non-aromac soap, and then rinse with water.
6 Install new lters in bowls.
7 Unplug feed water tubes from the two rst-stage membrane housings and put them in a
container for collecng rinse water. Plug the cord in mains and openfeed water valve 5.
Let enough water through the lters to ush out the carbon nes and dust. When run-
ning water becomes free of carbon parcles, close feed water valve. Plug the tubes back
in the inlets in membrane housings. Secure connecons with locking clips.
8 Open feed valve and plug the system in the mains. Let the RO system run for some me
with open puried water faucet to wash o carbon nes from carbon post-lter. Close
puried water faucet when water appears clear and free of parculate impuries.
1 Shut o feed water valve, close pressure tank valve (if used).
2 Open puried water faucet to relieve pressure in the system. Remove power from the
system.
3 Unplug tube from each membrane housing cap. Screw o the housing caps. Extract
used membranes from membrane housings and take note of their orientaon inside the
housings.
4 Take new membranes and grease their brine seals and membrane housing cap O-ring-
seals.
CAUTION! Only use food grade glycerol or cered RO membrane compable lubricant
for greasing the seals to avoid damage.
5 Install new RO membranes in housings observing proper orientaon of each.
CAUTION! Do not remove plasc bag when installing membrane. Make a cut in the
head end of the bag and push the membrane out of the bag into the housing. Do not
touch membrane surface with your hands.
