What to do if the seals failed in Edwards DRYSTAR GV?
If the seals in your Edwards Water Pump have failed, they must be replaced.
Why is my Edwards Water Pump overheating?
Several issues can cause the Edwards Water Pump to overheat or have unstable temperatures. The cooling-water flow might be inadequate or interrupted; ensure correct cooling-water flow before restarting the pump. The interstage relief valve could be stuck open or closed, requiring inspection, overhaul, or replacement. A failed shaft-seal purge, low oil level, faulty pump-motor, or failed seals can also cause this issue. Check and adjust the air or nitrogen pressure for the shaft-seals if needed, replenish the oil, or replace the pump-motor or seals if necessary.
What to do if my Edwards Water Pump suddenly stops?
If your Edwards Water Pump suddenly stops, several factors could be at play. The shutdown thermal snap-switch might have stopped the pump due to high temperature; ensure sufficient cooling-water flow at the correct pressure and temperature. An interruption or failure in the cooling-water supply can also cause this. Check and clean the cooling jacket. In case of hydraulic lock, isolate electrical supply, isolate pump from process, remove the coupling cover and rotate the pump drive shaft by inserting a bar into the holes in the motor coupling. If the pump has seized due to a faulty switch, contact your supplier or Edwards for advice.
