It is possible for an experienced technician, who is suitably trained, to perform
main
tenance and repair on nXDS pumps up to and including bearing replacement. We
have developed a detailed maintenance manual and instruconal video (part number
A73501713) that will enable an experienced technician to undertake this work. If
required, we can also provide face to face training. Please contact us for more
informaon or to purchase this training.

ailure to replace the pump bearings at this me may subsequently lead to damage of
the pumping mechanism.
A p ‑ seal change and exhaust and ballast valve change should be carried out at the
same me when performing a bearing replacement. Refer to Spares on page 52 for
ordering informaon.

6.8 Replace the pump controller (service indicator)
The service indicator, (ashing ON 3s / OFF 3s) is triggered to indicate that the pump
controller should be replaced. Contact us for further details.

6.9 Electrical safety check
Test the earth connuity and the insulaon resistance of the pump system in accordance
with local regulaons for the periodic tesng of electrical equipment.
The earth connuity should be less than 0.1 W and the DC insulaon resistance greater
than 1.0 MW.
If the pump fails any of these tests, contact us or the supplier.
6.10 Service indicator codes
The nXDS controller incorporates a service indicator (refer to Figure: LED indicators on
page 23). The service indicator will ash a specic code whenever a service interval has
been reached. There are three service levels listed in Table: Flashing service codes on
page 41.

To reset the service indicator, press and hold the standby speed increase and decrease
buons simultaneously for more than 5 seconds.
