2.2 Door sensor
A door sensor is installed in the lock. This sensor monitors the door position.
The door sensor reacts to the striking plate.
The door must be closed to engage the lock.
1. The springbolt must be actuated and
2. The striking plate must be recognised by the door sensor.
If the striking plate is not recognised:
3. The lock locks, releases and locks again, 2 times in all
4. After this the lock remains engaged.
To check the door sensor
You can check the correct function of the door sensor as follows:
5. Open the door.
6. Press the lock latch and the springbolt.
7. Release the lock latch.
Correct function:
The lock engages, releases and locks again, 3 times in all
After this the lock remains released,
the lock latch is retracted.
The lock changes over to “Fault”.
The lock remains released,
the lock latch remains retracted,
the “Fault” message appears. .
8. Reset the fault as follows:
By pressing the release button
or
by switching the operating voltage off and on again.
9. Hold a piece of metal or the striking plate in front of the door sensor.
10. Press the lock latch and the springbolt.
11. Release the lock latch.
Correct function:
The lock engages,
all bolts and the lock latch extend.
The lock latch is disabled.
Bouncing
Particularly heavy doors may bounce open again during closure.
Reliable locking would be prevented.
The door sensor recognises the bouncing.
12. The lock is release for a moment.
13. Then the lock is engaged again.
