3.2.8 Battery plug (for type MTD XXXXL)
This connection is used to combine the UPS with an optionally available exter-
nal battery bank to increase the bridging period. The connection may only be
created via the supplied connection cable with a switched-off UPS. You will find
more information in the manual of the external battery bank.
Always compare the indicated voltages on the UPS and the battery bank
before connecting.
These values must match.
Handling accumulators, there is risk of receiving a life-threatening
electric shock.
The battery poles may be in the connected state and should be protected
against human contact. Work on accumulators may only be performed by
authorised electricians, observing pertinent standards, guide lines and
electro-technical rules. Please observe the safety instructions in chapter
2 of this operating manual.
