ASSEMBLY
WARNING:

To prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal
injury, always remove the battery pack from the tool when assembling parts.
ASSEMBLING/REPLACING THE BAR AND CHAIN
WARNING:
Before performing any assembly, adjustment or maintenance, make
sure that the battery pack is removed. Failure to heed this warning could result in
serious personal injury.
WARNING:
Always wear gloves when handling the bar and chain; these
components are sharp and may contain burrs.
NOTICE: When replacing the guide bar and chain, always use the specied bar and
chain combination listed in the section: “Recommended Bar and Chain for this
Chain Saw”.
1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Position the chain saw power head
on its side on a rm, at surface,
so that the side cover is facing
upwards (Fig. 8).
3. Wear gloves. Remove the side cover
by turning the side cover knob
counterclockwise (Fig. 8).
