Connect the USB cable when using software that requires USB connection or when
using the docking station function (page 36).

Connects to a PC with USB Type-C output. This also transmits the USB signal that
is necessary for using software that requires USB connection or when using the
docking station function (page 36).
20. USB Type-C
connector
(downstream)
When connecting in a daisy chain connection, this connects to the USB Type-C
upstream connectors of the other monitors in the conguration.
