What to do if elco VG 2.120 D Burner starts, the ignition switches on, then failure?
    • N
      Nathaniel WilliamsAug 5, 2025
If the Elco Burner starts, the ignition switches on, then fails, it could be due to several reasons: no flame at the end of the safety time, incorrect gas throughput, malfunction in the flame monitoring system, incorrect polarisation of the power supply, no ignition sparks, short-circuited electrodes, damaged ignition cables, defective igniter, control and safety unit issues or valves jamming. To address this, adjust the gas flow, check the ionisation probe's condition and position, verify the ionisation circuit connections, ensure correct polarisation of the 7P connector, adjust, clean or replace the electrodes, connect or replace the cable(s), replace the igniter, replace the control unit, check the cabling, replace the compact gas unit, and/or replace the valves.

Why does elco VG 2.120 D Burner switch off during operation?
    • K
      karen56Aug 10, 2025
The Elco Burner might switch off during operation because of the air pressure switch contact opening during start-up or operation, or due to flame failure during operation. Try adjusting or replacing the pressure switch, checking the ionisation probe circuit, or checking or replacing the control and safety unit.

What to do if elco VG 2.120 D does not start after thermostatic closure?
    • W
      William NavarroAug 15, 2025
If the Elco Burner doesn't start after thermostatic closure, this could be due to a drop in supply voltage, a power failure, or a control unit malfunction. Check the cause of the voltage drop or power failure and replace the control unit.

What to do if elco VG 2.120 D Burner blower starts up, but burner does not start because of flaring?
    • M
      matthew56Aug 20, 2025
If the Elco Burner blower starts but the burner doesn't due to flaring during pre-ventilation or pre-ignition, check the valve and flame monitoring.

    William FrankAug 26, 2025
Why elco VG 2.120 D Burner has no heat requested?
    • T
      Tara RogersAug 26, 2025
If there is no heat requested from the Elco Burner, the thermostats could be defective or incorrectly adjusted. Adjust the thermostats, and replace them if necessary.

What causes a servomotor fault in Elco Burner?
    • M
      Michael NguyenAug 30, 2025
A servomotor fault in the Elco Burner could be due to clogging or locking of the air flap, or an internal fault with the servomotor. Replace the servomotor.
