What to do if elco VG 2.210 D starts, the ignition switches on, then failure?
- JjamesbrownAug 8, 2025
If the Elco Burner starts, the ignition switches on, then fails, it could be due to several reasons: no flame at the end of the safety time, incorrect gas throughput, malfunction in the flame monitoring system, incorrect polarisation of the power supply, no ignition sparks, short-circuited electrodes, damaged ignition cables, defective igniter, control and safety unit issues or valves jamming. To address this, adjust the gas flow, check the ionisation probe's condition and position, verify the ionisation circuit connections, ensure correct polarisation of the 7P connector, adjust, clean or replace the electrodes, connect or replace the cable(s), replace the igniter, replace the control unit, check the cabling, replace the compact gas unit, and/or replace the valves.
