MOTORWAY HANDLING
MOTORWAY HANDLING
Best Practice
To gain the most enjoyment and ensure a
long life for your campervan, the following
should be observed:
Do not bump kerbs with wheels.
When overtaking ensure sufficient
clearance is given to other vehicles.
Your campervan will not accelerate as
quickly as a car, so take this into account
when attempting to overtake other
vehicles.
Carry out all manoeuvers as smoothly as
possible.
Use the wing mirror to check your
campervan has cleared the other vehicle.
Slow down and take care when driving
over raised speed bumps, ‘sleeping
policemen’ or when embarking/
disembarking ferries.
In high or cross winds, travelling downhill
or in conditions of poor visibility reduce
your speed.
High-sided vehicles can cause air
buffeting so extra care must be taken
when passing or being passed. Leave as
much space as possible when overtaking
these types of vehicles
Speed Limits
Be sure to observe all statutory speed limits
and adapt your speed to take account of
prevailing weather and road conditions.
Towing Your Campervan
In the unlikely event that you have to tow
your campervan. Please refer to the base
vehicle information for details on where to
find the tow point and tow hook.
