The electriQ Portable Air Conditioner is a versatile 3-in-1 unit designed for cooling, fan, and dehumidification functions, suitable for various indoor environments. Two models are available: the P12C, ideal for rooms up to 30 m², and the P15C, for larger spaces up to 38 m².
Function Description:
The primary function of the electriQ Portable Air Conditioner is to provide cooling, ventilation, and dehumidification.
- Cooling Mode: In this mode, the unit expels cold air through the front outlet while venting hot air outside through the exhaust pipe. Users can set the desired room temperature between 16 and 32 degrees Celsius using the control panel or remote. The fan speed can also be adjusted.
- Fan Mode: This mode circulates air without cooling. Users can select from three fan speeds (Low, Mid, High) to suit their preference.
- Dehumidifier (DRY) Mode: The unit operates at a low fan speed to remove moisture from the air. In this mode, the vent hose should not be used, and the unit should be set up for continuous drainage into an external water tank. The display will show the room temperature.
- AUTO Mode: An intelligent cooling mode where the fan speed automatically adjusts based on the cooling required. Manual fan speed adjustment is not available in AUTO mode.

Usage Features:
- Control Panel and Remote Control: The unit can be operated via a top-mounted control panel or a remote control. The remote includes buttons for Power, Temperature adjustment (TEMP +/-), Fan Speed, Sleep mode, and Mode selection (Auto, Cool, Fan).
- 3-Speed Fan: Offers Low, Mid, and High fan speeds for customized airflow and noise levels.
- 24-Hour Start/Stop Timer: Allows users to program the unit to turn on or off automatically after a set number of hours (1 to 24 hours).
- Digital Thermostat: Enables precise temperature control in cooling mode.
- Swing Function: Activates automatic oscillation of the louvres to distribute air evenly. Pressing the button again stops the louvres in their current position. Manual adjustment of the blades is not recommended.
- Portability: Equipped with castors for easy movement between rooms.
- Installation of Window Kit: The unit comes with a window kit (slide bar and fishtail adaptor) designed for sliding windows and doors. The exhaust hose connects to the fishtail adaptor, which is then secured in the window opening. For optimal efficiency, the opening around the fishtail should be minimized.
- Self-Evaporative Function: In cooling mode, the unit reuses most of the condensed water to cool the condenser coils, with any excess evaporated, reducing the need for frequent manual drainage. Continuous drainage is not recommended if using this feature.
- Multi-Protective Functions:
- Frost Protection: Automatically stops operation if exhaust temperature is too low in COOL, DRY, or AUTO modes until the temperature rises.
- Overflow Protection: Stops operation and sounds an alarm ("E4" on display) when the internal water tank is full. Operation resumes after emptying the tank.
- Auto-Defrost: Prevents ice buildup on internal coils if temperatures drop too low during operation.
- Automatic Thermal Protection: Stops the compressor and lower motor if the internal temperature is outside the specified range, resuming normal operation once the temperature recovers.
- Compressor Protection: Features a 3-minute delay start to prevent damage to the compressor.
Maintenance Features:
- Surface Cleaning: The unit's surface should be cleaned with a wet soft cloth. Avoid using chemicals like benzene, alcohol, or gasoline, as these can damage the surface or internal components.
- Air Filter Cleaning: The filter screens should be cleaned approximately every two weeks, or more frequently depending on air quality.
- Upper Filter Screen: Slide out the frame (remove screws if present). Clean in warm water with neutral detergent (around 40°C/104°F), rinse, and dry in the shade before reinstallation.
- Lower Filter Screen: Pull the handle of the frame outward to remove. Clean in warm water with neutral detergent (around 40°C/104°F), rinse, and dry in the shade before reinstallation.
- Manual Drainage: When the internal water tank is full, the unit stops. Unplug the unit, place a tray under the lower water plug, unscrew the cap, and remove the rubber stopper to drain water. Replace the stopper and cap after draining.
- Continuous Drainage: For continuous operation in dry mode or when the self-evaporative function is not desired, remove the drain plug cap and rubber stopper, then connect a water pipe to the upper water outlet. This pipe can be plumbed into a system, led outside for gravity drainage, or connected to a water pump.
- End of Season Maintenance:
- Drain any remaining water from the internal tank.
- Run the unit in low fan mode for half a day to dry the internal conduit and prevent mold.
- Turn off and unplug the unit.
- Replace the rubber stopper.
- Coil and secure the power cord.
- Separate and safely store the exhaust pipe.
- Cover the unit and store it in a dry place.
- Remove batteries from the remote control for safe storage or disposal.
Important Safeguards for Use and Maintenance:
- Always store and transport the unit upright to prevent irreparable damage to the compressor. If in doubt, wait at least 24 hours before starting.
- Allow 3 minutes after turning off before restarting to protect the compressor.
- Do not use the mains plug as a switch; use the ON/OFF button on the control panel.
- Place the unit on a dry and stable surface.
- Do not install in laundry or wet rooms.
- Ensure the room is free of ignition sources (open flames, gas appliances, electric heaters).
- Do not cover or restrict airflow from inlet or outlet grills. Maintain a minimum distance of 50cm from walls or objects.
- Keep the exhaust hose as straight and short as possible, avoiding bends greater than 30 degrees, to ensure efficient hot air expulsion and prevent overheating or internal damage.
- Do not use the cooling function if the ambient temperature is higher than 38°C to protect the unit.
- Any repairs or maintenance beyond regular cleaning or filter replacement must be performed by an authorized service representative to avoid voiding the warranty.
- If the refrigerant system is damaged, do not use the product and contact the retailer. The refrigerant system should not be perforated or punctured.
