Overview

This document is the user manual for the electriQ AC60E Evaporative Cooler with Humidifier. It provides comprehensive information about the device's functions, specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description:

The electriQ AC60E is a 3-in-1 evaporative air cooler that also functions as a humidifier and an air cleaner with an ionizer. It cools the air through the process of evaporation, where water molecules absorb heat from the air, resulting in a spot cooling effect. This makes it an economical and energy-saving alternative to traditional air conditioners, as it does not require venting. The integrated ionizer helps improve air quality by releasing negative ions. The unit is designed for indoor use and is particularly effective in drier climates where the relative humidity is 60% or lower. It can also be used as a humidifier in dry environments during cool weather by closing windows and doors to allow humidified air to accumulate.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model Number: AC60E-V2
  • Air Flow: Up to 216 m³/hr
  • Water Tank Capacity: 6 Litres
  • Voltage: 220-240 V
  • Frequency: 50 Hz
  • Maximum Fan Flow Rate (F): 3.6 m³/min
  • Fan Power Input (P): 45.8 W
  • Service Value (SV): 0.079 (m³/min)/W (Measurement standard for service value: (EU) No 206/2012)
  • Standby Power Consumption (PSB): <0.3 W
  • Fan Sound Power Level (LWA): ≤56.6 dB(A)
  • Maximum Air Velocity (C): 5.6 Meters/sec

  • Net Weight: 3.51 kg
  • Ambient Operating Temperature Range: 5°C to 40°C
  • Cooling Media: High-efficiency honeycomb cooling pads

Usage Features:

The AC60E features a slim design, making it space-efficient. It offers three fan speeds (Low, Medium, High) for selection between maximum cooling and quiet operation. The unit includes an oscillation setting for improved air distribution and directional louvres for spot cooling. An easy-to-use digital control panel and an intelligent remote control provide convenient operation. The unit is equipped with a handle and wheels for great mobility. It also boasts powerful air throw with auto swing for faster cooling and an easy-to-fill top water tank with an ice box for enhanced cooling. A pump protection feature is also included.

The control panel and remote control offer the following functions:

  • POWER button: Turns the unit on or off.
  • SPEED button: Cycles through Low, Medium, and High fan speeds.
  • MODE button: Selects between three airflow styles:
    • Standard: Fan blows at maximum speed.
    • Breeze: Fan speed fluctuates to imitate a natural breeze.
    • Sleep: Fan speed decreases by one level per half hour and then runs at Low Speed.
  • TIMER button: Sets a shutdown or power-on timer with a duration between 1 and 7 hours. The duration is cumulative based on illuminated lights (e.g., 1H, 2H, and 4H lit together equals 7 hours). These are single-use timers.
  • IONISER button: Activates or deactivates the ionizer function.
  • COOL button: Turns the humidifying (cooling) function on or off. When off, the unit operates as a fan without using water for cooling.
  • SWING button: Activates or deactivates the oscillation function of the air outlet. Vertical airflow direction can be manually adjusted.

For optimal performance, the unit should be placed near an open door or window to allow cross-ventilation. The water tank should be filled to between the MIN and MAX levels. Ice or charged ice packs can be added to either water tank to increase the cooling effect, ensuring the MAX limit is not exceeded.

Maintenance Features:

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and efficiency of the AC60E.

  • Surface Cleaning: Clean the plastic housing with a duster or a soft wet cloth. Avoid chemical solvents and ensure no water enters the control panel.
  • Water Tank Cleaning: Unplug the unit, remove the honeycomb filter bracket, and wipe the water tank with a cloth dipped in a mild detergent. Rinse the tank by filling and draining through the drain port. Draining and refilling the reservoir with fresh water at least once a week helps reduce mineral deposits and keeps filters clean. Do not run the unit in Humidify mode with stale water.
  • Honeycomb Filter Pads Maintenance: The cleaning frequency depends on local air and water conditions. Mineral deposits (from hard water) can build up on the honeycomb filter, restricting airflow. If deposits are present, remove the filter and wash it under fresh water. For a deeper clean, use a mild detergent and a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. It is recommended to clean the honeycomb filter at least every two months. For best results, allow the honeycomb filter to dry after each use by running the unit as a fan for 15 minutes before turning it off.
  • End of Season Maintenance:
    1. Empty and clean the water tank.
    2. Clean the honeycomb pad.
    3. Store the icepack in the water tank.
    4. Cover the unit and store it in a dry place.

The manual also includes a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as no power, no dust elimination, and odour emission from the unit, along with possible causes and solutions. It emphasizes that unauthorized repair attempts will invalidate the warranty and may cause harm. The product should be disposed of responsibly at civic amenity sites for recycling.
