When speakers are connected out of polarity, the low frequencies will cancel each other acoustically. Check the wire markings on your speaker wires. Make sure that the amplifier (+) terminal connects to pin 1+ and the amplifier (-) terminal connects to pin 1- of the NL4 connector.
