Elastic around the edges of necklines, in shoulder-straps, around
armholes or the legs of bathing suits or sportswear is covered as
follows: Place the elastic flat on the wrong side of the material
and sew on with the zigzag stitch. Fold the elastic down once,
inside (on the wrong side) and sew finally on the right side with
the tricot stitch. The stitching is at the same time stretchable,
hard—wearing and very decorative.
