Static, dynamic &
recovery limits
Check &
corrective action
This fault will be triggered if the DLT
temperature exceeds 130 °C for more than
30 seconds. Restart the drive and run at a
lighter load to avoid this fault.
Auto configuration
communication timeout
The drive automatically recognizes the baud
rate, without the need to configure it. Check if
the master sends messages at baud rates that
are accepted by the drive.
Board temperature sensor
open / short
This fault is triggered by the ambient sensor,
which is placed on the top of the drive main
board. Make sure that the temperature inside
the drive case does not exceed 75 °C. Restart
the drive.
If this fault appears again, replace the drive.
Stator heater overcurrent
This fault will be triggered during stator heating
if the current is too high. Under normal
conditions, the drive should automatically limit
the power to 150 W during stator heating. As a
first step measure the power delivered by the
drive to the compressor. If the power is too high,
measure the windings of the compressor. If the
compressor works properly but the fault
persists, replace the drive.
When the EV3 drive is commanded by one of
the Emerson controllers, this functionality is
disabled. When the EV3 drive is running in a
unit without Emerson controller this functionality
is enabled by default.
If the functionality is enabled, the drive
automatically locks out after 10 failures
(Compressor phase Over Current, Micro
Electronic Fault, Start-up fault, Compressor
U,V,W sensor fault) within 10 hours, and cannot
be commanded anymore.
The drive will remain in lockout state for 10
hours. It will exit the lockout state and be
operational again if a power cycle is made.
