1. Go to ‘Setup’ and press the ‘OK’ button
2. Go to ‘Network’, select ‘Wireless Setup’ and press the ‘OK’ button.
3. Press the ‘Time Seek’ (Magnifying glass symbol) button on the remote control
after which the media player searches for available SSID’s.
4. Select the SSID it has successfully connected to, fill out a faulty key and let the
media player connect to this network.
5. While the EM7480/EM7485 is trying to connect press ‘Cancel’. The wireless
connection will then be set to Off’.
6. Power ‘Off’ the EM7480/EM7485 and power it back ‘On for the EM7480/EM7485
to switch to the Ethernet connection.
7. You can now set the wired connection as described in chapter “Wired connection
Manually”
7.4.4 Checking the Samba server and assign a DLNA DMR name
In order to be able to access the hard disk of the media player using the local network,
it is necessary the ‘Samba server’ is enabled. The Samba server is enabled by
default. If the Samba server is enabled, you will be able to access the hard disk of the
media player using the local network.
Also, you can assign a DLNA DMR network name to the media player. This name can
be selected while using the DLNA DMR option and/or while using iMediaShare/Flipps.
1. Use the navigation buttons to go to ‘Setup’ and press the ‘OK’ button.
2. Select ‘Network’.
3. Select ‘SAMBA Server’ and press ‘OK’.
4. In the following screen you can change the DLNA network name (default:
EM7480/EM7485)
5. You can choose to secure the Media content with a password by enabling the
‘Samba Security’ and fill in a ‘Password’.
6. The ‘SAMBA Server’ needs to be set to ‘On’. If not, press the ‘OK’ button and
select ‘On’ and press the ‘OK’ button again.
Note: How to access the hard disk of the media player using the local network will be
explained in chapter “Using the network connection (Samba)”.
8.0 Copying media to the hard disk of the
media player
Once the media player has been setup, you can start to copy your media files to the
hard disk of the EM7480/EM7485.
