For optimal use:
1. Replace lead wires annually.
2. Please follow the directions on the electrode packaging for the care of electrodes. The
life of the electrodes varies, depending on skin conditions, skin preparation, storage and
climate. Replace electrodes that no longer stick.
3. Ensure batteries are charged before each use. Unplug the battery charger from the wall
once charge is complete.
NOTE: If the following measures fail to alleviate the problem, please call the repair
department at 1-800-862-2343.
Problem Possible Cause Solution
Display does not come on. Battery/ 1. Try fresh batteries.
Battery contact failure 2. Ensure batteries are inserted
correctly. Check the following
on the battery contacts:
• All contacts are in place.
• All contacts are not broken.
• All contacts are not pushed in.
They should make contact with
the battery when it is inserted.

Lead wires
1. Worn or damaged 1. Replace.
Component failure Try each lead wire independently
in each channel. If there is no
output on either channel, the lead
wire is defective and should be
replaced.
If there is output on one channel
only, a component may have
failed. Call the repair department.
Intermittent output Lead wires 1. Verify connection is secure.
2. Tur n down the intensity. Rotate
lead wires in socket 90°. If still
intermittent, replace lead wire.
3. If still intermittent after replacing
lead wire, a component may
have failed. Call the repair
department.
Program option Some programs will seem
in use intermittent. This is expected.
