TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom Solution
Power setting LEDs do not illuminate
when the unit is switched on
Check all the connections•
Check the power supply of the dental office•
Send the unit to an approved EMS repair center•
No or insufficient irrigation flow when
the foot pedal is pressed
Turn the liquid flow rate knob•
Make sure that the "DRY WORK" mode is not activated•
Make sure that the bottle is properly installed•
Check all the connections•
Proceed to a circuit washing without the handpiece and check that liquid exits the handpiece cord; if it is the •
case, the handpiece is plugged; send the handpiece to an approved EMS repair center
Unscrew the pump cover and check that the peristaltic pump functions; if the rollers do not turn, replace the •
pump (the rotation of the rollers can be seen by transparency)
Send the unit to an approved EMS repair center•
No ultrasound oscillations or
insufficient power
Control that the instrument is tight•
Check the wear of the instrument and replace it using the CombiTorque if necessary•
Press the foot pedal to the second step•
Check all the connections•
Dry the connectors of the handpiece cord and of the handpiece•
Make sure that the "ENDO" mode is not activated•
Increase the power of the ultrasound to the maximum•
Replace the handpiece cord and/or the handpiece•
Send the unit to an approved EMS repair center•
Water leaks Replace the O-ring on the bottle screw-cap•
Replace the O-ring on the handpiece and on the handpiece cord•
Replace the bottle•
Replace the peristaltic pump•
Send the handpiece and the handpiece cord to an approved EMS repair center•
Insufficient lighting of the Piezon
handpiece LED
Replace the light guide•
Send the unit to an approved EMS repair center•
