12.5 Configuration of a level measurement
The Setup method can also be used to configure the measurement. It is called up via
the SETUP (TRDSUP) transducer block.

26 Configuration parameters for level measurements in solids
LN = Length of probe R = Reference point of the measurement
D = Distance E = Empty calibration (= Zero point)
L = Level F = Full calibration (= span)
If for rope probes the DC value is less than 7, then measurement is not possible in the
area of the straining weight. In these cases, the maximum allowed value for the
empty calibration E is LN - 250 mm (LN - 10 in).
Step Block Parameter Action
1 SETUP (TRDSUP) Distance unit
(distance_unit)
Select distance unit.
Selection:
• 1010: m
• 1013: mm
• 1018: in
• 1019: ft
2 SETUP (TRDSUP) Bin type (bin_type) Select bin type.
Selection:
• 33288: Metallic
• 33440: Plastic wood
• 33465: Concrete
• 33467: Aluminium
3 SETUP (TRDSUP) Empty calibration
(empty_calibration)
Enter the distance E between the reference point
R and the minimum level (0%).
4 SETUP (TRDSUP) Full calibration
(full_calibration)
Enter distance F between the minimum (0%) and
maximum (100%) level.
5 SETUP (TRDSUP) Level (level) Displays the measured level L.
6 SETUP (TRDSUP) Distance
(filtered_dist_val)
Displays the distance D between the reference
point R and the level L.
