2.3 Ink Supply Mechanism
2.3.1 Ink Flow Path

2.3.2 Ink Pressurizing Mechanism
This printer employs an ink pressurizing mechanism to stably supply ink in the ink
cartridge (ink pack) to the print head. This ink pressurizing mechanism consists of a
pressure pump unit installed in an ink supply mechanism and tightly-sealed ink
cartridges. Air pumped into the tightly-sealed ink cartridge from the pressure pump
unit squashes the ink pack in the cartridge, causing the ink inside the pack to be
transferred to the print head.
