1. Turn off the product.
2. Unplug the power cable.
3. Disconnect any connected cables.
4. Open the scanner unit.
5. Make sure the ink tank cap is securely closed.
6. Close the scanner unit.
7. Open the front cover until it clicks and slide out the paper cassette until it clicks. Remove any paper.
