Originals that are not Supported by the ADF

Important:
Do not feed photographs or valuable original artwork into the ADF. Misfeeding may wrinkle or damage the
original. Scan these documents on the scanner glass instead.
To prevent paper jams, avoid placing the following originals in the ADF. For these types, use the scanner glass.
O Originals that are torn, folded, wrinkled, deteriorated, or curled
O Originals with binder holes
O Originals held together with tape, staples, paper clips etc.
O Originals that have stickers or labels stuck to them
O Originals that are cut irregularly or not right angled
O Originals that are bound
O OHPs, thermal transfer paper, or carbon backs
Placing Originals on the ADF
1. Align the edges of the originals.
2.
Pinch and slide out the ADF edge guide.
3.
Place the originals face-up and short edge rst in the ADF, and then slide the ADF edge guide to the edge of
the originals.
