      If the roll paper is jammed, turn off the Epson Scanner, put your finger under the left side of the roll paper cover and pull it up to open it. Depending on where the paper is jammed, open the MICR cover, rear cover, or scanner cover, and remove the jammed paper. If an ID card is jammed, pull the scanner cover open lever and open the scanner cover by pulling it outward.

      The Error LED on your Epson Scanner may be on or flashing because the covers are not properly closed, the roll paper is not properly set, the autocutter blade may be locked, or paper or an ID card is jammed. Also, the thermal head or the surroundings of the print head may be overheating. Make sure that all the covers are properly closed and the roll paper is properly set. If the Ink LED is on, replace the ink cartridge with a new one. If the roll paper cover will not open, the autocutter blade is locked. If paper or an ID card is jammed, remove the jammed paper. Printing stops if the thermal head or the surroundings of the print head overheats, and resumes automatically when it cools. Turn off the Epson Scanner, and after 10 seconds, back on.
