Contrast Auto Automatically adjusts the contrast for faxes
Manual Manually adjusts the contrast for faxes; negative
settings make faxes lighter and positive settings make
–4 to +4

2-Sided Faxing Off Lets you fax 2-sided originals placed in the ADF

Direct Send Off Sends a monochrome fax to a single recipient as
soon as the connection is made without saving the

scanned image to memory
You cannot use this setting when sending a color fax
or to multiple recipients.
Send Preview Off Lets you view the scanned image before sending

Fax Receive Options
Set the options you want to use for incoming faxes.
Setting Options Description
Auto Answer Off Allows you to confirm if an incoming fax should be
printed; A telephone must be connected to the
product
On Automatically receive and print faxes
DRD All If you are using a Distinctive Ring Service on your
phone line, your telephone company can assign two
Single
or more phone numbers to the same line and assign
Double different ring patterns to each. If you use this service,
select the number of rings for your fax number as the
Triple
DRD setting so your product can receive faxes on the
Double & Triple correct number of rings. All is the default setting and
works for phone lines that do not use this service.
