1.9.3.1 Installing SFP modules
To insert an SFP module into the SFP module slot, follow these
steps:
1. Locate the send (TX) and receive (RX) markings that identify the
top side of the SFP module.
NOTE! On some SFP modules, the TX and RX can be marked as
arrowheads, pointing from the SFP module connector
(transmit direction /TX) and toward the connector (receive
direction /RX).
2. Align the SFP module in front of the slot opening.
Make sure that the SFP module has the correct orientation, either a
latch-up or a latch-down orientation.
3. Insert the SFP module into the slot. Insertion is correct when you
feel the module-connector snap into place in the rear of the slot.
