64 Communicating via the Built-in Modem
To establish communication between your computer and your phone, you can
also use an RS232 cable.
Note! The RS232 cable is an accessory and is not included in the mobile
phone kit. If you want to use a cable, be sure to ask for an Ericsson RS232
cable that can be used with your phone.
To connect using a cable
1. Make sure you have installed the modem as described in “To install the
built-in modem on the PC” on page 63.
2. Connect the cable according to the picture below. When you connect the
cable to your mobile phone, you may have to press hard to attach it
properly.
3. Your PC will now establish contact with your phone.
Note! The Ericsson RS232 cable supports the following five signals in the
RS232 standard: Tx, Rx, CTS, RTS, GND. If you experience any problem with
