WARNING ! In case of contact with the skin or eyes, rinse
thoroughly with water. Seek medical attention immediately. Always
keep the battery and acid out of the reach of children.
WARNING ! Measures taken for the application of Directive
2006/66/EC relating to the marketing of batteries and accumulators
containing certain hazardous materials and their elimination.
ELIMINATION OF BATTERIES
Batteries contain dangerous substances and may on no account
be disposed of in the environment. They are subject to very strict
rules regarding their disposal. For the disposal of batteries marked
ETESIA, we participate in the schemes in place in the countries
where the machine is sold.
CAUTION! A battery kept uncharged will not charge correctly later
on and will not be covered by the warranty.
9•4 TYRE MAINTENANCE
• Always ensure that the pressure in the tyres is as specified. Other
pressure values could have an adverse effect on driving. You could
even lose control of the mower.
- Front tyre pressure : 1,5 bar
- Back tyre pressure : 1,2 bar
If you use your mower equipped with a cabin and a front accessory,
the pressure of the tires fronts must be increased with 1,9 bar.
DISPOSAL OF USED PNEUMATICS
It is forbidden to leave standing, to lay down or to burn pneumatics in
nature. Our dealer network has been informed about its obligation to
take back, free of charge, all used pneumatics from ETESIA ride on
mowers.
9•5 MAINTENANCE OF CUTTING PARTS
(BLADE)
IMPORTANT! Before any work on the cutting device, turn the
engine off and remove the ignition key.
Use the circuit-breaker to turn off the electric supply. Close the hand
brake. Wear protective gloves.
9•5•1 CONDITION OF CUTTING PARTS (BLADE)
• Before each use, check the condition of the blades (any damage or
wear).
1: normal, 2: bent, 3: worn, 4: cracked (picture 35).
• If a blade is blunted or twisted, the quality of cut is bad. A damaged
blade can be very hazardous as a broken piece may be ejected from
the cutting device.
• Immediately change any damaged or worn blade (8•11•2 - 8•11•3).
• Change absolutely the blade after any shock.
• Some microcracks provoked by a shock can lead to the rupture of
the blade if it’s not replaced.
• Blunted blades which are not otherwise damaged may be sharpened.
Do not exceed the sharpening limit marked on the end of the blade.
• After sharpening, readjust the balance of the blade to avoid
vibrations.
• Also check if the coupling and the body of the cutting parts are in a
good condition.
•
If any major damage is found in the cutting device, take the machine
to your dealer for a closer examination of the entire system.
9•6 CLEANING
• We advise you against using a high-pressure cleaning device.
However, if you do use one, take care not to splash water on engine
parts such as the air filter, exhaust pipe, battery and electrical
components. Do not direct the spray towards the bearings (blade or
wheel bearings) or hydraulic components.
• We recommend running the engine and the other transmission
elements after cleaning to remove any water.
CLEANING THE CUTTING DEVICE
• After each use, clean the cutting deck carefully, particularly its
inside, with a water spray.
H124DN - H124DX
We recommend 2 cleaning methods:
1. Cleaning the cutting system with a jet of water, after removing
all the removable parts of the cutting system. See paragraph
8•11•2 for the disassembly of the parts.
• After cleaning and reassembling the removable parts of the
cutting system, it is advisable to restart the cutting system for a few
minutes.
2. Cleaning of collection system via the ejection channel. The inner
part of the cutting system can also be cleaned through the ejection
channel using jet of water.
• Clear access to the ejection channel by placing the collection bin in
the emptying position and at maximum height.
• Lock this position using the locking system designed for the purpose:
by a rotation movement, unclip the connecting rods from the lower
lifting arms and clip them onto the lifting actuators (picture 26).
• After cleaning and putting the collecting bin back in the mowing
position, it is advisable to start the cutting system and let it run for a
few minutes.
H124DL
• There are two ways in which you can clean your cutting deck :
1. Cleaning the cutting system using pipe connectors. The cutting
deck is equipped with an 1 inch thread on the right and left sides for
connecting two hoses for spraying (picture 36). Proceed as follows
to clean the deck :
• Connect the spray pipe to the cutting deck. You can also do this using
a Y connector so that both sides are connected at the same time.
• Open the tap.
• Sit on the seat, start the engine and activate the cutting system.
• The cutting system will be cleaned after about 3 minutes.
• After cleaning, operate the cutting system for a few minutes.
