IMPORTANT: If a locking clip is needed, refer to page
44. Some ELR vehicle belts can be switched into
locking mode for child restraint installation. It may not be
necessary to use a locking clip in these situations. Refer
to the vehicle owner’s manual to determine which type of
belt retractor is in the vehicle.

LAP BELT ONLY
Route the vehicle seat belt
through the belt guides on
the carrier.
LAP/SHOULDER BELT
In vehicles with a lap and
shoulder belt, route the LAP
PORTION ONLY through
the belt guides. Route the
SHOULDER PORTION
diagonally across the
vehicle seat back as shown.
NOTE: It may be necessary to move or fold the seat
cover out of the way to access the belt guides.
