Installing the Carrier
without the Convenience Base

The seat belt must be as tight as possible. Push
down on the bottom of the seat using your full
weight as you tighten the vehicle belt.

DEATH or SERIOUS
INJURY can occur.
DO NOT use this child restraint if it moves more than
2.5 cm (1 in.) side-to-side or front to back at the vehicle
belt path. Move the child restraint to another seating
location, try to tighten the seat belt again, or install using
the base.
Use this infant restraint only in a rear-facing position when using it in a vehicle. • Use only with children who weigh between 2.3
and 10 kg (5 and 22 lbs) and whose height is between 48 and 74 cm (19 and 29 in.). • Snugly adjust the belts provided with this child
restraint around your child. Use only in a rear-facing position when using it in the vehicle. • Follow all instructions on this child restraint
and in the written instructions located behind the seat pad. • Register your child restraint with the manufacturer. • Do not place this
restraint in the front seat of a vehicle that has a passenger-side air bag.

Secure this child restraint with the vehicles child restraint anchorage system if available or with a vehicle belt. • Never
leave child unattended. Only use this child restraint on forward-facing vehicle seats equipped with a vehicle seat belt
or lower universal anchorage system. Strangulation Hazard: Child can strangle in loose restraint straps. Never
leave child in carrier when straps are loose or undone. • Suffocation Hazard: Infant carrier can roll over on soft
surfaces and suffocate child. NEVER place carrier on beds, sofas, or other soft surfaces. • Fall Hazard: Childs
activity can move carrier. NEVER place carrier on counter tops, tables, or any other elevated surface. Be sure
the child restraint handle is rmly locked into the carry position before lifting the child restraint. Fall Hazard: The
carrier can fall from the shopping cart. Do not use on shopping cart.

If the level line is not level to the ground, use a
tightly rolled towel or small blanket beneath the
front edge of the child restraint.
IMPORTANT: Infants may have difculty breathing when
in a sitting position. Make sure they recline enough for
their head to lie back comfortably and safely. Failure to
properly recline the child restraint could increase the
child’s risk of serious injury or death.
