Fasten the vehicle seat belt as shown, depending on
your type of seat belt.
Note: You MUST use a locking clip with lap/shoulder
seat belt combinations that have a buckle tongue that
slides freely along the belt without locking into place.
To install a locking clip, refer to p. 30.

The seat belt must be as tight as possible.
Using your knee, put your full weight into the seat as
you tighten the seat belt C.
Check your work. If you can move the child restraint
more than 25 mm (1 inch) forward or side-to-side at
the vehicle seat belt path D, the seat belt is not tight
enough, and you will need to try again.
DO NOT use this child restraint if it moves more than
25 mm (1 inch) forward or side-to-side at the vehicle
belt path. Serious injury or death may result from
poor installation. Move the child restraint to another
seating location or try to tighten the seat belt again.
