Using the Locking Clip
•Lap/shoulderseatbelt
combinations that have a
buckle tongue that slides
freely along the belt
without locking into place;
OR
Locking Clip
Use the locking clip with:
•Seat belts equipped with an emergency locking
retractor (ELR). Some ELR vehicle belts can be switched
so that they lock when tightened. It may not be
necessary to use a locking clip in these situations.

Using your full weight, press down on the child
restraint as you tighten the seat belt.
While holding the lap and shoulder belts together just
behind the free sliding buckle tongue A, unfasten the
seat belt.
