All electric vehicles, including mobility scooters, are susceptible to Electromagnetic Interference / Radio Frequency
Interference (RFI). This can result in abnormal and unexpected movement of your scooter. If unintentional movement
occurs or the brake does not work properly, turn your scooter o as soon as possible. The FDA has determined that
every scooter must be able to withstand EMI/RFI to a certain level. The higher this level, the greater the protection
against EMI / RFI - measured in volts per meter (V/m). The minimum resistance level to EMI / RFI should be 20 V/m. This
product has been tested and has a resistance level of 20 V/m.
6.5.1. EMI / RFI recommendations
• Do not use personal electronic means of communication such as a mobile telephone when using your scooter.
• Be extra careful around cell towers and radio/television towers.
• Switch o your scooter if you are not going to be standing still for an extended period of time.
