Safety
• Thespeaker should not be taken apart or modified. Certain unshielded
components inside thespeaker’s casing carry dangerous voltages. Contact with
these can lead to fire or electricshock.
• Do not cover thespeaker. Adequate ventilation with adistance of at least 5 cm
between thespeaker and surrounding objects is necessary to prevent thespeaker
from overheating.
• Thespeaker must only be connected to a100–240 V, 50/60 Hz wall socket.
• Make sure that theused wall socket is easily accessible, as this is theonly way to
completely disconnect thespeaker from themains supply.
• Place thespeaker on astable, flat surface.
• Do not place thespeaker where it could fall into water or other liquid. Donot place
any objects containing liquid on thespeaker, such as vases, drinks,etc.
• Do not place thespeaker near open flames such as wood stoves, lit candles,etc.
• Place thespeaker in anarea where there is no risk of anyone tripping over its
mainslead.
• Never subject thespeaker to high temperaturese.g. prolonged sunlight exposure,
dust, heavy vibrations, impacts, damp or moisture.
• Do not abuse themainslead. Neverunplug theproduct by pulling on its
mainslead. Always grip theplug itself. Makesure that themains lead does not
come into contact with heat, sharp edges or is any way crushed.
• Disconnect theplug from thewall socket during thunderstorms or if thespeaker is
not to be used for alongtime.
• Thespeaker’s standby switch does not completely disconnect it from themains.
Unplug thespeaker from thewall socket to completely disconnect thefrom
themains.
• Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead to
permanent hearingloss.
• Do not use thespeaker if it or themains lead is damaged in anyway.
• Only use accessories that are approved by themanufacturer or retailer.
• Thespeaker must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
