Switchmustbepulledout(up)toengagetheblades.
Switchispushedintodisengagetheblades.
TheLCDindicatorwillappearwhenthePTOswitch
isdisengaged(seeFigure9).
Note:TheEFIREDEquippedUnitshaveaclutch
saver,whichallowsthethrottletoautomatically
reduceengineRPMwhenthePTOswitchis
disengaged.EngaginganddisengagingthePTO
switch,changestheenginethrottlebetweenmowand
transportmode(referencethetableintheThrottle
ControlwithClutchSaver(EFIREDEquipped
Units)section).
LowVoltageIndicator
Locatedontherightconsoleinthemessagedisplay
(seeFigure6andFigure9).
Alowvoltagecondition(lessthan12.3volts)exists
whentheLCDindicatorappearsonthemessage
displaywhiletheengineisrunning.
Iftheignitionkeyisturnedtothe“ON”positionfor
afewsecondsbeforecrankingtheengine,thebattery
voltagewilldisplayintheareawherethehoursare
normallydisplayed.
Note:Theindicatornormallyappearswhenthe
engineisoffandthekeyswitchisturnedtothe
“ON”position.
DeckLiftPedal
Locatedattherightfrontcorneroftheoorpan.
Pushthepedalforwardwithyourfoottoraisethe
cuttingdeck.Allowthepedaltomoverearwardto
lowerthecuttingdecktothecutheightthathasbeen
set.
TransportLock
Locatedontheheightofcutadjustmentplatestothe
rightoftheparkingbrake.
Positioninthetransportlatchingpositionto
automaticallylatchthecuttingdeckwhenraisedto
thetransportposition(seeitem1inFigure11).
Inthenon-latchingposition,thedeckwill
automaticallyreturntothecuttingheightwhenthe
pedalislowered(seeitem3inFigure11).

Themalfunctionindicatorlight(MIL)isthelight
locatedintherightconsolepanel–therightlight
belowthethrottlecontrol.
Theelectroniccontrolunit(ECU)continuously
monitorsoperationoftheEFIsystem.Ifaproblem
orfaultwithinthesystemisdetected,theMIL
isilluminated.Followthetroubleshootingsteps
outlinedintheKohlerengineoperator’smanualifthe
MILisilluminated.
LowOilPressureWarningLight
(EFIREDEquippedUnitsOnly)
Locatedintherightconsolepanel–themiddlelight
belowthethrottlecontrol.
Iftheengineoilpressuredropsbelowasafelevel,
thislightwillbeilluminatedandtheenginewill
automaticallyreduceRPMandremaininasafe
modeuntilthecorrectiveactionistaken(seethe
Troubleshootingsection).
