Toreleasethedrivesystem(seeitem1inFigure9),
loosentheknobbyturningcounterclockwise.Then
pullthereleaseleverontheundersideofmachine
towardsthebackofthemachineandretightenthe
knobtoholdthereleaseleverbackinthereleased
state.Repeatthisoneachsideofthemachine.
Releasetheparkingbrake.Themachineisnowable
tobepushedbyhand.
Toresetthedrivesystem(seeitem2inFigure9),
loosentheknobbyturningcounterclockwise.Then
pushthereleaseleverontheundersideofmachine
towardsthefrontofthemachineandretightenthe
knobtoholdthereleaseleverintheoperatingstate.
Repeatthisoneachsideofthemachine.
DoNottowmachine.
PTOEngagementSwitch
Locatedonrightconsole(seeFigure6).
Switchmustbepulledout(up)toengagetheblades.
Switchispushedintodisengagetheblades.
TheLCDindicatorwillappearwhenthePTOswitch
isdisengaged(seeFigure8).
DeckLiftPedal
Locatedattherightfrontcorneroftheoorpan(see
Figure10).
Pushthepedalforwardwithyourfoottoraisethe
cuttingdeck.Allowthepedaltomoverearwardto
lowerthecuttingdecktothecutheightthathasbeen
set.

Locatedontherightsidebehindtheheightofcut
adjustmentholes(seeFigure10).
Thetransportlatchingmechanismwillautomatically
engagewhenthedeckisraisedtothetransport
position.Toreleasethedeckfromthetransport
position:pushthefootpedaltoremovetheloadfrom
thetransportlatchingmechanism,liftthetransport
lockcontrol,andletthepedalcomebacktolowerthe
deckdowntothedesiredcutheight.
Pre-Start
Fillfueltankonlevelground.Forbestresultsuse
onlyclean,freshregulargradeunleadedgasolinewith
anoctaneratingof87orhigher.
