Removetestleadsfromthemeterbeforeopeningthebatterycompartmentormeterhousing.

Besuretousetheproperterminals,switchpositions,andrangeswhentakingmeasurements.

Donotapplymorethantheratedvoltage,asmarkedonthemeter,betweenterminalsorbetweenany
terminalandearthground.
Donotmeasurevoltagesabove1000VDCor750VAC
betweenterminalandgroundtopreventelectrical
shockanddamagetotheClampmeter.
Usecautionworkingwithvoltagesabove30VACRMS,42VACpeak,or60VDC.Thesevoltagesposea
shockhazard.
Toavoidmisleadingreadingsthatcouldleadtoelectricshockandinjury,replace
thebatteriesassoonas
thelowbatteryindicatorisdisplayed.
Disconnectpowertothecircuitundertestanddischargeallhighvoltagecapacitorsbeforetesting
resistance,continuity,diodes,orcapacitance.
Donotusethemeterinthepresenceofexplosivegasorvapor.
Toreduceriskof
fireorelectricshock,donotusethemeterifitiswetanddonotexposethemeterto
moisture.
IndividualprotectiveequipmentshouldbeusedifHAZARDOUSLIVEpartsintheinstallationwhere
