Use RJ45 Connector Jackets
Use RJ45 cable with connector jackets that are ush with the connector or that have
connectors with a no-snag feature.
Using cable with jackets that are wider than the connectors can cause:
• Connectors that are not properly aligned with the port.
• Crowded cable installation, which can cause connectors to pop out of the port.
Figure 15 shows examples of recommended and non-recommended connector jacket
types.
