About This Task
The access point can be installed on an indoor environment such as a ceiling rail, on non-standard
ceilings, and on a wall. For more information about selecting the right access point bracket and
accessory for your installation needs, see the Extreme Networks 11.ax Access Points Accessories Guide.
Note
The installation procedure for AP305C/CX are similar. The installation procedure covered in
this document is applicable to both the access points.
Procedure
1. Verify the box contents.
2. Visually inspect the access point, the bracket, and any other optional accessories you have ordered
for physical damage.
If there is any damage, contact Extreme Networks Support.
3. Read and review the safety guidelines.
4. Install the access point on a standard ceiling rail or to a non-standard ceiling grid, or wall.
5. Lock the access point after installation.
