These instructions are to be considered as a rapid guide for installation of the FAAC 950N2 for
both a single door installation or double door installation with On Door Safety Sensors and a
check for opening/closing speeds along with the Hold Open time. We have included references
where to find relevant wiring information for the fitting of Safety Sensors to protect the swept
area of door/doors as specified by specified by the Risk Assessment undertaken by the
installer. The installer should still familiarise themselves with the full manual and the safety

Installation Steps

Step 1: Door Free Swinging

Ensure the door is free swinging, not binding, and remove any closers.

Step 2: Mounting Template and Fixings

Use the 1:1 scale mounting template for operator and arm holes. Select appropriate fixings.

Step 3: Operator and Arm Mounting

Mount operator and arm to door/header, then connect main power securely.

Step 4: DIPSWITCH Adjustment

Adjust DIPSWITCH '2' for arm type. DL4 illuminates 'YELLOW' upon change; press SW1 to confirm.

Step 5: Setup Procedure

Perform setup by holding SW1 until DL2 flashes. Requires Automatic Mode and specific DL lights.

Step 6: Speed and Time Trimmers

Adjust Opening Speed, Closing Speed, and Pause Time trimmers. Press SW1 to confirm.

Step 7: Safety Sensors

Install On Door Safety Sensors (XPB ON's/SCAN's). Enable DIPSWITCH '7' for wall/barrier scenarios.

Double Door Configuration – Master/Slave

Step 1: Motion Parameters

Ensure identical motion parameters between the two 950N2 operators.

Step 2: Linking Operators

Link two 950N2s using a 3-Core Cable. Set DIPSWITCH '1' and '2' to 'ON' on DS2 bank.

Step 3: Slave Configuration

Connect KP Evo to SLAVE, set Function to '2 Leaves', Master/Slave Nr to '2 Slave'.

Step 4: Master Configuration

Connect KP Evo to MASTER, set Function to '2 Leaves', Master/Slave Nr to '1 Master', perform registration.

Step 5: Leaf Delay Adjustment

Adjust LEAF DELAY as required via KP Evo Spanner settings.
