Access phonebook:
Add new entry:
1. Press or Dir soft key or Menu > Dir > Local Contacts.
1. Press Dir soft key > Local Contacts > All Contacts or Groups
> Press Add
2. Enter name and number and press OK soft key.

3. To dial an entry, press Dial soft key or pickup handset or

Call Mute
1. Press to Mute the microphone during the call.
2. Press again to un-mute the conversation.
Call forward
1. Press Menu > Features > Call Forward.
2. Select the line, the type of forward, enter the destination
number and status and OK.
Programmable keys
1. You can also configure shortcuts for the navigation keys,
and which will be available in idle mode.
2. Press Menu > Basic > Keyboard, select among the
configurable items, and select your desired type and value,
press OK key.
Redial
Do not disturb
1. Press DND soft key, and enable the device do not disturb
mode.
2. Or press Menu > Features > DND, and select the Mode and
Type, and press OK soft key.
1. Press key, redial a call number.
Voice mail
1. To access your voice mailbox, press or Menu > Message
> Voice Message, number of messages will be indicated if
provided by your server or pbx.
2. Select the line and press Play to call.

Call transfer
Attended transfer:
Blind transfer:
1. Press key or Xfer soft key during the active conversation,
the call is put on hold.
2. Dial the second telephone number.
1. Press key or Xfer soft key during the active conversation,
the call will be on hold.
2. Then enter the 2nd telephone number and press key
or Xfer soft key.
3. When the call is answered, then press key or Xfer soft
key to complete the operation.

Overview

This document provides a comprehensive guide for the Fanvil X1SG IP Phone, covering its packaging, installation, configuration, and various operational features.

Packaging List

The device comes with an IP Phone unit, a handset, a stand, a handset cord, an Ethernet cord, and a Quick Installation Guide. An optional power adapter (for X1SP) and a wall stand are available for separate purchase.

Installation

The X1SG can be installed in two ways:

  • Bracket Desktop Installation: Attach the stand to the back of the phone for desktop use.
  • Wall Mounting: A wall stand (purchased separately) is required for wall installation.

Connecting the Device

To set up the phone, connect the following:

  1. Power Port: Connect the power adapter to the DC 5V port.
  2. Network Port: Connect the phone to the local area network or Internet via the network port.
  3. PC Port: Connect a computer to the PC port on the phone.
  4. Headset Port: Connect a headset to the dedicated port.
  5. Handset Port: Connect the handset to its designated port.

Configuration

The X1SG can be configured via the phone's interface or a web browser.

Configuration via Phone:

  1. Access the Menu and navigate to System (default password is 123).
  2. Select Network to configure settings like IPv4/IPv6, DHCP/Static/PPPoE.
  3. Select Accounts to enable and configure SIP server details, including address, port, username, and password.

Configuration via Web:

  1. Obtain the phone's IP address by pressing the OK key or navigating to Menu > Status > IPv4/IPv6.
  2. Open a web browser on a PC within the same IP segment as the phone and enter the IP address. The default username and password are 'admin'.
  3. Navigate to network/Account settings to configure relevant content.
  4. Save the configuration.

Language Setting

To change the language:

  1. Press the Menu key and go to Settings > Basic Settings > Language.
  2. Select the desired language and press the OK soft key.

Making a Call

Several methods are available for making calls:

  1. Pre-dialing: Enter the number and then pick up the handset.
  2. Direct Dialing: Lift the handset and then enter the number.
  3. Handsfree: Enter the number and press the handsfree key, or vice versa.
  4. Headset: Enter the number and press the headset key, or vice versa.
  5. Designated Line: Press a line key, enter the number, and then press the dial key.

Accepting a Call

  1. With the Handset: Pick up the handset.
  2. With a Headset: Press the headset key.
  3. With the Handsfree: Press the handsfree key.

Putting a Call on Hold

  1. During an active call, press the hold key or Hold soft key to place the caller on hold.
  2. To retrieve the call, press the hold key or Resume soft key.
  3. If multiple calls are active, use the navigation keys to select the desired call and use the corresponding soft key to hold or resume.

3-Party Conference

  1. While on a call with the first party, press the conference key or Conf soft key to put the first caller on hold.
  2. Dial the second number.
  3. Once the second call is established, press the conference key or Conf soft key again to set up the conference.

Call Transfer

The X1SG supports both attended and blind transfers.

Attended Transfer:

  1. During an active conversation, press the transfer key or Xfer soft key to put the call on hold.
  2. Dial the second telephone number.
  3. Once the second call is answered, press the transfer key or Xfer soft key again to complete the transfer.

Blind Transfer:

  1. During an active conversation, press the transfer key or Xfer soft key to put the call on hold.
  2. Enter the second telephone number and press the transfer key or Xfer soft key.

Call Forward

  1. Press Menu > Features > Call Forward.
  2. Select the line, the type of forward, enter the destination number, set the status, and press OK.

Call Mute

  1. Press the mute key to mute the microphone during a call.
  2. Press the mute key again to un-mute the conversation.

Call List

  1. Press the call log key or navigate to Menu > Call Log > Local Call Logs.
  2. Scroll through the list using the navigation keys.
  3. To dial an entry, press the Dial soft key, pick up the handset, or press the handsfree key or headset key.

Programmable Keys

The navigation keys can be configured as shortcuts for various functions in idle mode.

  1. Press Menu > Basic > Keyboard.
  2. Select the desired configurable item, type, and value, then press OK.

Redial

  1. Press the redial key to redial the last called number.

Do Not Disturb (DND)

  1. Press the DND soft key to enable DND mode.
  2. Alternatively, navigate to Menu > Features > DND, select the Mode and Type, and press OK.

Voice Mail

  1. To access your voice mailbox, press the voice mail key or navigate to Menu > Message > Voice Message. The number of messages will be indicated if supported by your server or PBX.
  2. Select the line and press Play to call.

Phonebook

Accessing the Phonebook:

  1. Press the phonebook key or Dir soft key, or navigate to Menu > Dir > Local Contacts.
  2. Select Contacts or Groups.
  3. To dial an entry, press the Dial soft key, pick up the handset, or press the handsfree key or headset key.

Adding a New Entry:

  1. Press the Dir soft key > Local Contacts > All Contacts or Groups > Add.
  2. Enter the name and number, then press OK.

Screen Icons

The screen displays various icons indicating the phone's status:

  • Hands-free mode
  • Headset mode

Key Features

Soft Keys: Context-sensitive keys that change function based on the current screen. Message Waiting Indicator: A light that indicates new messages.

  • Left and Right: Navigation.
  • Up: Shortcut to call log.
  • Down: Shortcut to Status.
  • OK: Shortcut to Menu. Hold Key: Places a call on hold or resumes a held call. Call Transfer Key: Initiates a call transfer. Conference Key: Initiates a 3-party conference. Phonebook Key: Accesses the phonebook. Voice Messages Key: Accesses voice messages. Line Keys: Used for managing multiple lines. Headset Key: Activates/deactivates the headset. Redial Key: Redials the last number.

Mute Key:

  • In idle mode: Toggles ringer off.
  • In communication mode: Mutes/un-mutes a call.

Volume Keys (+/-):

  • In idle mode or during ringing: Adjusts ringer volume.
  • In communication: Adjusts earpiece, headset, or hands-free volume. Hands-free Key: Activates/deactivates hands-free mode. Keypad Lock (#): Long press to lock the keypad. Enter PIN to unlock.
