OUTPUT JACK
Low-impedance output connects to amp or next pedal in signal chain.
INPUT JACK
High-impedance input for bass guitar and other instruments.
PAD SWITCH
Switch on side of pedal is for active instruments with strong signals; UP
position applies -6dB to input.
DC POWER CONNECTOR
Connect DC adapter here. Standard center-negative 9VDC jack for use
with appropriate power supplies. LED will flash red when power is
plugged in.
LEVEL CONTROL KNOB
Adjusts compression signal volume.
COMPRESSION CONTROL KNOB
Adjusts signal compression amount by determining threshold at which
compression kicks in. Turn up to increase sensitivity and engage compression
on softer signals.
BLEND CONTROL KNOB
Blends in clean signal. Signal is muted at 1, at unity gain at 8, and at +6db
at 10.
RATIO SWITCH
Select between two compression ratios: DOWN sets 4:1 ratio for light
compression to smooth out dynamics; UP sets 8:1 ratio for signal limiting
action to manage entire signal output.
RELEASE SWITCH
Select between two release speeds. DOWN provides auto release for
quickest response; UP provides slow release time that can be manually
adjusted using the internal Manual Release trim pot.
BYPASS FOOTSWITCH/LED
Footswitch turns effect on and off using true bypass. LED Illuminates white
when effect is on and turns red when compression is triggered.
BATTERY/INTERNAL-CONTROL COMPARTMENT (REAR)
Screw-access compartment houses 9V battery and internal trim
potentiometers.
