battery status for 3 seconds.
Green light constantly on: sufficient
Red light constantly on: poor
Red light flashes: critical
Dual-protection Function
Time control: The light will gradually step down in lumen output from Turbo to High after 1.5
working minutes.
Heat control: The light will accumulate a lot of heat when Turbo output level is repeatedly
selected for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 65 , it will
automatically downshift to High output level.
Low Power Warning Function
When the battery level gets low, the battery level indicator will flash automatically to remind of
charging. To ensure normal use, the flashlight will not turn off and will work until the over-
discharge function stops the battery from working.
Charging
1. Plug the USB side of the charging cable into an electrical outlet; open the anti-dust cover, then
plug the Micro USB side of the charging cable into the light. The indicator light around the switch
will display red while charging, and will turn to solid green when fully charged. The normal
charging time is about 4.5 hours. Recommended voltage/current: 5V/2A.
2. Once charging is completed, be sure to close the anti-dust cover.
3. If emergency lighting is needed while in charging process, the flashlight can be used on Low
output level.
4. Recharge a stored PD40R every four months to maintain optimum battery performance.

*The compatible rechargeable 26650 Li-ion battery only activates the flashlight up to High output
level.
**26650 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be
treated with caution and handled with care. Quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce
the potential for combustion or explosion but cell damage or short circuiting are potential risks
to the user.
