Overview

The Fenix E-LITE is a compact and versatile flashlight designed for everyday carry and signaling purposes. It features a built-in Li-polymer battery and offers multiple light modes, including white light, red light, and blue light, making it suitable for a variety of situations. Its mini size and ultralight weight enhance its portability and convenience for users.

Function Description

The primary function of the Fenix E-LITE is to provide illumination and signaling capabilities. It utilizes a MATCH CA18 white light LED for general lighting and Everlight 2835 red and blue LEDs for signaling and warning purposes. The device offers different output levels for white light: High, Med, and Low, allowing users to adjust the brightness according to their needs. For red and blue lights, it provides steady modes (Red, Blue) and flashing modes (Red Flash, Blue Flash), which are useful for various signaling scenarios.

To operate the device, users can press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds to turn the light on or off. Once the light is on, a single click of the switch cycles through the white light modes in the order of Low→Med→High. To access the red and blue lights, users need to press and hold the switch for 1.2 seconds while the light is already on. Within the red/blue light modes, a single click of the switch cycles through Red→Red Flash→Blue→Blue Flash.

The Fenix E-LITE incorporates an electronic lockout function to prevent accidental activation, which is particularly useful during storage or transportation. To lock the light, users should double-click the switch when the light is unlocked and switched off. The light will blink twice on Low to indicate that it is locked. In the locked status, any click or press of the switch will result in two one-second blinks on Low, serving as a reminder that the device is locked. To unlock the light, users need to double-click the switch again while it is locked, which will also activate the light on Low mode.

The device also includes an intelligent overheat protection mechanism. When operating on High mode for extended periods, the flashlight may accumulate significant heat. If the internal temperature reaches 60°C or above, the light will automatically reduce its output to a lower brightness level to prevent overheating. Once the temperature drops below 60°C, the user can then reselect the High mode.

A low-voltage warning system is integrated to inform users when the battery needs recharging. When the voltage level drops below a preset threshold, the flashlight will automatically downshift to a lower brightness level. If the device is already in Low output mode and the voltage continues to drop, the indicator will blink red, signaling that it's time to recharge the battery.

Usage Features

The Fenix E-LITE is designed for ease of use and portability. Its compact form factor makes it an ideal EDC (Everyday Carry) item. The simple single-switch interface allows for intuitive control over all light modes and functions. The inclusion of red and blue signal lights expands its utility beyond basic illumination, making it suitable for emergency signaling, personal safety, or as a warning light.

The built-in Li-polymer battery simplifies charging, as it can be recharged via a USB Type-C cable. This eliminates the need for external battery chargers and makes it convenient to power up using various USB power sources. The charging process is straightforward: first, turn off the light, then connect the USB A socket of the charging cable to an electrical outlet and the USB Type-C socket to the light. An indicator light will display red during charging and turn green once fully charged. It is important to close the anti-dust cover after charging to protect the port.

The device also provides a battery level indication feature. When the light is switched off, a single click of the switch will activate the battery status indicator for 3 seconds. A green light indicates a saturated charge (100% - 80%), a flashing green light signifies a sufficient charge (80% - 50%), a red light indicates a poor charge (50% - 20%), and a flashing red light warns of a critical charge level (20% - 0%). This allows users to quickly assess the remaining power and plan for recharging.

Maintenance Features

Maintaining the Fenix E-LITE involves a few simple practices to ensure its longevity and optimal performance. The device is designed with a sealed head, and disassembling it is explicitly advised against, as it can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.

Regular recharging is crucial for maintaining the battery's health, especially for stored lights. It is recommended to recharge a stored light every four months to ensure the battery remains in optimum condition. The normal charging time from depletion to full charge is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The electronic lockout function serves as a key maintenance feature by preventing accidental activation. This is particularly important when the flashlight is stored in a bag or pocket, where it might be inadvertently turned on, draining the battery or causing potential damage.

The Fenix E-LITE is also designed with an IP66 water-resistant rating, which means it is protected against powerful water jets. While this enhances its durability in various environments, it does not imply that the device is suitable for submersion.

Users should be aware that the flashlight is a high-intensity lighting device. To prevent eye damage to the user or others, it is important to avoid shining the flashlight directly into anyone's eyes. Additionally, when used on High mode for extended periods, the flashlight shell can become hot. Users should pay attention to safe use to avoid scalding.

The product comes with a warranty card, and users should refer to it for specific warranty terms and conditions. All information provided in the manual is subject to change without prior notice, so it's always good to check for the latest updates if available.
