How to troubleshoot thermostat issues in FHP GO072?
    • J
      jon68Sep 1, 2025
If your FHP Heat Pump's thermostat is not working, set the fan to 'ON' to see if the fan runs. Then, set the thermostat to 'COOL' at the lowest temperature and check if the unit runs in cooling mode. After that, set it to 'HEAT' at the highest temperature to see if it heats. If the blower or compressor doesn't run in all three cases, check the thermostat wiring and ensure 24 volts are available on the condensing section low voltage terminal strip between 'R' and 'C', 'Y' and 'C', and 'O' and 'C'. For blower issues, verify 24 volts between terminals 'G' and 'C' in the air handler. Replace the thermostat if it's defective, and also check its settings, calibration, and wiring.

What causes high pressure in FHP GO072 Heat Pump?
    • J
      Julie LaneSep 7, 2025
If your FHP Heat Pump is experiencing high pressure, first check for a defective or improperly calibrated high-pressure switch. In cooling mode, ensure adequate airflow by checking for an inoperative blower, clogged filter, or restrictions in the ductwork, and make sure the entering air temperature isn't too cold.
