3.2.1.7. SYMBOL 15. ALARMS
The symbol 15 helps to identify alarm signs that appear on display A. When an alarm appears, go
to display C and press in order to access the description associated with this type of alarm.
3.3. 3 digit display
The 3-digit display shows the group temperature when the machine is turned off. Once the machine
starts producing, the display shows a timer for the coffee production.

3.4. Technical characteristics
You can find all main technical characteristics (electric supply etc.) on the machine’s type plate.
3.5. Necessary connections
The Compass MB only works with the water network pressure. DO NOT use “jerrycans” or other
water containers without pressure.
1 Water tap with a G3/8 nut (for water supply);
1 drain with a connection of at least 16/17 mm diameter
1 earth electricity mains with a 30 mA protection and a 3 mm disjuntor with 3 mm space between the
contacts
4. Installation and basic adjustments
4.1. Location
Choose a dry place where the machine cannot come in direct contact water. Do not direct water
jets onto the equipment!
Choose a stable and leveled surface to place the machine on.
For a correct installation, that surface the machine is placed on must have a height of at least 800
mm above the floor level.
Install a water filter system
The machine needs a surrounding temperature between 15-25ºC in order to funciton well.
4.2. Unpacking
Before using the machine for the first time, remove all protective and packing material. Make sure the
machine is intact. Dispose of all packing material in a safe way. Clean the machine’s exterior with a soft
humid cloth.
