How to troubleshoot a Fisher Spreader when the spinner doesn't spin and there's no power?
    • R
      Robert MooreJul 28, 2025
If the spinner on your Fisher Spreader isn't spinning and there's no power, first, ensure the spreader control is turned ON. If it's already on, check if the spreader control circuit breaker has tripped and reset it if necessary. Also, inspect the battery lead in-line fuse and replace it if blown. Poor battery connections can also cause this, so clean or replace the ring terminal and apply dielectric grease. Finally, check the battery wiring harness for damage and repair or replace it as needed.

What to do if the Fisher Spreader spinner doesn't spin when loaded, but the motor is running?
    • S
      Susan GarciaAug 7, 2025
If the spinner on your Fisher Spreader isn't spinning when a load is applied, and the motor is turning, the drive belt might be loose or broken. Remove the motor cap and check the drive belt, tightening or replacing it as needed. Also, the drive pulley could be loose. Remove the motor cap and verify that the motor and drive pulley set screws are tight.

Why Fisher Spreader spinner not spinning, even with power to the motor?
    • S
      Sheila FloresNov 15, 2025
If the spinner of your Fisher Spreader isn't spinning, but the motor is receiving 12V DC power, first, unplug the spreader harness and try turning the spinner by hand to check for obstructions or frozen material in the spinner, auger, or drive shaft. If the shaft still won't turn freely, the spinner shaft bearings may be damaged; remove the drive belt and check for obstructions, lubricating or replacing the spinner bearings if needed. If the shaft turns freely, the motor might be damaged; check for 12V DC at the Orange wire to White wire connection near the motor, and replace the motor if it has power. A damaged spreader control could also be the issue; check for 12V DC at the White wire to White wire connection at the back of the spreader control, and replace the control if it lacks power...
